can anyone tell me how to start a car with"auto clutch off"
(eg.clutch-->start engine-->1st gear)

Simply start the car in Neutral. Then change to first gear and go. You don't necessarily have to assign a clutch button if you are using AutoClutch, but usually the clutch button is the same as the one you use to shift gears. For instance if you use two buttons on your gamepad for shifting up and down, you would assign the same buttons to the Engage Clutch control. Then pressing the button down will disengage the clutch and shift, and releasing the button will engage the clutch.

The right way is to manually control the clutch by assigning the clutch control to a button or joystick axis. However, you can get away with not doing that if you: shift to neutral, hit the gas to rev the engine up all the way, then shift to first.
