I think dynamic shadows would be cool, and I'd like to see them in the game. However there are some other things that are higher priority (like adding fixed camera positions and slippery surfaces to tracks). Once we wrap up some of these problems, we'll look into more dynamic lighting all around.
As for using data from Total Immersion, it depends on the license for that game and the availability of original data (for instance, can we extract track/car models from the game? are we allowed to?)

, we've got a nice working version with some more good fixes and some nice new features. We had planned to get it out this weekend, and we still may...I am away from home and my computer but will be back tomorrow, and will start getting ready for releasing unless there's some big roadblock that pops up.
