still i don't see how revision 2361 would complain but not the release revision.

The use of those sound data files was only added since the release. Also, it turns out that if the sound files are missing, instead of failing gracefully the game crashes with a floating point exception. Doh. I've fixed the crashing in R2364, now it'll just refuse to load the track if it can't find the sounds.
