Well, protomor, right now the VDrift track editor is needed to properly set the track up for the game, after it is exported. At the moment it runs well on Linux, but it hasn't ever been built on Windows as far as I know. It would likely take a little code tweaking to get done just right. Since we're in the process of writing a new track editor in Python, there's not much point in porting the old track editor now (it's not very good anyway in terms of interface and ease of use).
In the meantime, since you have already created a track, why not post it somewhere others can download it, so someone who already has the track editor and Linux can try importing it. This way others could possibly add some things to your track, or give you tips on how to set it up better to fit the game.
Sorry for the lack of good tools and documentation on this, the old track editor was sort of hacked together as a quick fix; we didn't have time to write a complete one when the new modeled track system was introduced.
