VDrift 2015-08-25 test build

The archive contains source code, data (3 cars + 3 tracks) and win7 64bit binaries.

On Linux unpack and run scons to build the binary (make sure you've got the dependencies installed, see docs)

Right, tested a bit.
Updates look okay. Surely better than before.
I think a simple text like: 12/65 that tells which file is downloaded and all count would be better, since some tracks are big and you don't know much when it'll end. Or perhaps a sum of total files size and just 1 slower progress.
But if that's a trouble to implement than I'd say this can stay so.

Just a minor detail, if I have the latest car/track update already (same numbers) and press Download it shows bar and does nothing, bit confusing, but Esc works, IMO should just do nothing.
Ah and Gui lists dont refresh (show new stuff) after updating, need to restart. Bit confusing.
I had to edit updates.config since I had some tracks downloaded some time ago, were in .cfg, but didn't have them in tracks dir. Maybe updates should check that.

The start moment with many cars is really loud. I had 8 cars, AI has max throttle (at highest revs on neutral?) during race countdown and that sums up to a lot. After that it's back to normal.
I think AI got better.
My favourite screen from today:

I like the F40 car, too bad it's not finished.
Other than that, I'd say this is a good release.

Thanks again CrystalH.

And yes the update system needs work. I am chipping away at it one bit at a time.

Going freestyle should give extra drift points. Smile
