Some about the Physics Engine
The time in VDrift is correct. If it feels faster or slower, keep in mind that the MPH display does not lie. The cars in TORCS are souped up F1s and other racers, while the VDrift cars are stock. Also, it's been a while since I've played TORCS, but back then the physics engine wasn't that great (although maybe it's improved). I'd recommend playing one of the gran turismo games (and outfit your car with simulation tires, or N2 tires on GT4) and see how it feels compared to VDrift.
