and another problem. although there is support for multiple starts, all the cars have the same orientation. this is not necessarily what we want to do, as each car might have a different orientation (imagine starting in a turn, or something like that). the start orientation should correspond to the respective start position. i think as it is, it is the last orinetation that gets saved.
