i'm going to do some fixes tonight/tomorrow for the Mac OS X build, however due to the number of changes (merge of scenegraph branch with ODE requirement) it might not be enough to get SVN trunk running again on Mac OS X just yet.
btw sorry i just now noticed i got a PM from you...
if you want to get something that "works" i suggest checking out the tag for the last release.

ok trunk should build and run now on Mac OS X (revision 1765)
there are still macosx specific problems like shaders not working and sound problems on bigendian/ppc, in addition to the other Things that worked before but now don't
btw please let me know when using ODE with GIMPACT works then i will rebuild the ODE framework.

about to compile. Thank You!
COMPILED 100% PERFECT! About to test out.
EDIT: Impact detection is non existent, cars easily flip around turns, no needles on spedometer (as joe said) handling has become very arcadish, i cant get around the first turn on ruudskogen (i think the drift counter is somehow conflicting with the impact detection making the ground non existent) But at least it works . And there are still sound issues. (you sure i cant help out with them?) TY for all help though.

kidrock Wrote:And there are still sound issues. (you sure i cant help out with them?) well if you got intermediate programming skills you can sure give it a try
kidrock Wrote:any way i can help you (testing and such)? thanks i think there are many ways to contribute to the project without programming, creating cars/tracks, improving the artwork used, adding to the documentation/wiki, etc...
testing is certainly welcome, but i think it is most useful just before a release is made (we had to respin the mac release because of powerpc bugs two times already!) - right now we know that many things don't work.

I have a basic knowledge of blender, an ok knowledge of C++, And a beginner knowledge of Python. I am able to help out to get manufacturer info on all gm vehicles (my 3rd cousin works in a factory that produces them) and i can easily help create car files. i should get in touch with my uncle who has an EXTREME knowledge of C++ and many other languages and he is good at 3d graphics (developed his one game about a year back now working on a golfing game). The only problem is he lives in england. i will be seeing him this summer for 3 weeks so i can probably get some good programming lessons from him. i will introduce him to Vdrift and see if he would like to help out. i cant seem to find a link to his game so i will find it another day. thank you for your help.
