OS X Version - Sound and control bugs
Hi,
First of all, congratulations, Vdrift is wonderfull and really impressive.
I'am a developper and i may help coding on this project.
Configuration: - MacBook (Black) Intel Core 2Ghz -2Go - GMA 950 - Logitech Precision gamepad
Vdrift 2007-03-23 - Revision 1629M
Conditions of the bug: - Monaco track & XS Car. / Kayalami track & XS Car.
Use of the joystick.
When braking quite in the border of the road.
Result: - No more sound except sometimes the steers when turning on "free wheel".
No more response of the car, but the indicators Gas & Turn respond when actionning the joystick.
Leave race ok, but when restarting, no sounds of gas.
I will be pleased to answer to any questions if it can help to fix.

Could you try the development version from SVN (somebody makes even packages, have a look at the forum) and check if those bugs are stoll there?
There have been many changes since March

Subversion try
I just got the svn version through svnx, but infortunately it doesn't compile because of vorbisfile.h was not found. Arghhh.
I guess you know where i can find the vorbis library the most representative which run with vdrift.
I will also try to grabb some packages in the forum.

svn 1813
I got the svn 1813 (thanks cotharyus) and the problem still remains.
When you hurt (with som violence) a wall, there is no more sound and no more control.
In the monaco track it happens on the first difficults chicanes.
On the svn 1813, i couldn't hear the sounds of the tires, but i guess it is due to the svn version, and sometimes, it seems that they were some little jumps at the screen when playing.

Yes i know that. but for those not able to FEEL when the car is stalled or who don't know how to READ a tachometer this would be helpful. and yes i know how to do both these things. only stalled a car twice. and that was the first 5 minutes of me learning how to drive a stick. after that... smooth sailing.
