Destruction!
Hi.I have been looking for at good car/racing game with destruction in it.why not make a map like the one in "destriction detby" a "circle arena" and the add visible damage to the cars (im affraid its an allmost impsible job to do ) no linux car game have a destruction mode in :-(wow destruction could be fun in multiplayer :-Deverything should be brake able, glass, wheels helmet, and so on.Just an idea :-)P.s I like the game now, but I would really like some destruction.

I saw a project simulating body damage to cars, but for the life of me can not find a link right now. It was pretty cool, although perhaps more resource intensive than the type of damage simulation VDrift would want. Things like the actual body framework would warp depending upon the impact. Still, it was pretty cool and (if only I could find a link) probably closer to what you want than VDrift which is a [drift] racing simulation rather than a smash-em-up.

If vdrift, gets support for damage and such, its the first linux driving game I know that has it.I have allways been a fan of games like Destruction Derby, Gta 1-5. Maybe its an impossible/to much work to do to the existing code?Once again thx for this great game.Multiplayer Car destruction rocks :-D

Found it!!!D4MD (deformed) is a simulation of car damage, built using the OGRE rendering engine. Read about it (screenshots plus movie) in the OGRE forums here.It's hard to see how VDrift could take anything other than ideas from this. Different 3D engine, different approach to the game, I'd be surprised if there was any kind of similarity in code structure.
