Quote:Sounds like you need to calibrate your controller, and then try assigning them again.
eh magari...
I have calibrate my controller hundreds of time. In the calibration screen, all is ok, when i move my controller Up or right or left, the axis go up right and left, exactly how I move them
When I Assign The Key in the control Car screen all seems ok, but in the game, the control are inverted or not working.
Quote:What version of VDrift are you using?
I Think the last, downloaded from Vdrift.net home page
Mac OS X 2007-03-23, full
Bye..and thanks

joevenzon Wrote:The problem could be that you're just bumping the joystick slightly UP when you're moving it LEFT during control assignment. If you just want to assign controls manually, edit the file called "controls" in your VDrift user settings folder with a text editor. On OSX, the path to the file is:
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/VDrift
You'll see something like:
steer_right joy 0 axis 0 positive etc etc etc
so then you know that your left/right joystick axis is axis 0, so you can set:
steer_left joy 0 axis 0 negative etc etc etc
Ok, i have found it.
I have found the controls in "control" files. Perfect...but not perfect.
If I launch Vdrift and assign the controls to the joystick (or keyboard), Vdrift write this prefs on the file "control" (i have made some test, and I have read this file a lot of time with a text editor), but then, on next launch, Vdrift not read the file "control" and the key are not assigned
and if I go to read the "control" files, is configurated... Why Vdrif write, but not read this file? The permission are ok, i have controlled them.
Thanks
Erik

OK, maybe i have solved. I have trashed all the Vdrift folder in /User/Library/pref... Vdrift have created a new one, and now read and write the "control" file.
This night i'll try to edit the file for The Logitech controller..
Stay tuned
Erik

You might try downloading the last version I built from the downloads section of http://cotharyus.net - it may solve a lot of problems.
