Impossible to visualize this video modality, change to 1024x768 60Hz.

But if i can't see the game i can't modify the options, which file i have to modify to set these options?

On linux/bsd (and maybe mac os x?) edit the .vdrift/VDrift.config

On windows? No clue, maybe its done in the same file, just search for it.

Delete the VDrift.conf file in your user settings dir:

I have tried to delete that file but the problem remains. I have downloaded the development version, compiled it with scons and launched from there, is possible that it changes something? deleting this file from the folder could be a solution or it generates an error?

Delete the config file (and any other files that change video settings for that matter) and then re-download the development version (as you would to update your revision number).

There is no need to redownload or recompile VDrift to change your settings. Simply edit the file C:\Documents and Settings\user\VDrift\VDrift.config. Under the display section you'll see two parameters "width" and "height". If the resolution you're shooting for is 1024x768 then set them to width=1024 height=768. Save the file and run VDrift. It should start with your new settings.
