Rally racing
What do you guys think about a rally racing mode? Shouldn't be too hard to implement, and we already have an AWD rally car. We just need a track and some code (which should be easy once I have the variable friction surfaces implemented).

I'm for it! Ever since the Trigger Rally project died I've been pining for a good new open source rally game of some kind. So this would be perfect! Even more so, going sideways is shared by both rally racing and drift racing, so they are in some ways similar. Smile

I think that would be very cool. I've almost implemented the Audi S1 into Vdrift.
What I would really like to see is a little manual how to build a Vdrift track from scratch. That way we can get some original Vdrift tracks.

I guess I need to just make a test track or something and document it as I go, so I can post up some instructions on making new tracks. I'm not sure when I'll get to it, but hopefully I'll find some time...

A track with a large lot would be handy to get the feel of the cars.

A parking lot track (with maybe a couple of roads nearby) would make a good first track to try out when writing the tutorial.

I can make a parking lot, just need some references, maybe like Fast and Furious? An open one? If you have pictures is even better.
