storing game settings

It would be nice if I didn't have to re-enter my new controls every time I get a new version of VDrift. Could the game save the settings in the user's home directory somewhere...for instance, on Linux ~/.vdrift/ and on Windows, <pre>C:\Documents and Settings\User Whatever\Application Data\VDrift\</pre> or something?
