problem with the finishing line(Monza 88 track)
In Monza 88 track,if you run on the right side of the finishing section(light grey part of the road) and you pass the finishing line(actually near the line) the game treats like you never passed the line.Even if the player is supposed to stay in the track i think this part of the road is actually a part of the track. What i mean is that it is possibe for a player to run in this part of the road.So it would be good to fix this.In case you can't reproduce this bug please let me know.

you will notice that if you go through the pits the lap doesn't count either. this is just an artifact of how vdrift does things for now and until that changes there is nothing to be fixed. so, again, better stick to the track.

I've got it written up as issue 124:

i don't think that was the problem.
i think this is just a limitation of the way we currently count the laps by limiting ourselves to track segments only. if you go off the track (even if it's correct, like going through the pits or on the side like in the monza case) the lap doesn't count.

I was thinking solutions for the other problem (driving over the timing patch too fast for VDrift to see) might also address this issue (you can drive around timing patches).
