Cygwin compile work

Hi Joe,
This is really somewhat of a PM,but since I don't actually log in often and there's nothign in here I want to keep secret, I'll post to the forum.

So anyways, I saw you rolled back my "IS_WIN" changes in the scons files. Sorry about breaking the builds . I don't have other systems to test on at the moment. However, I really would like to get this working in the future.

Is it possible that the build on other platforms broke because env['IS_WIN'] was only intialized on windows builds?

perhaps adding env['IS_WIN'] = False on the other platform intialization fixes will also fix things. If this works, then I can try to find a more elegant solution at a more leisurely pace.

Yep, that's what the error message was about.

It probably would have. I actually tried to fix it another way; replace all of the

if ( 'win32' == sys.platform or 'cygwin' == sys.platform ):

I tested this fix on my mingw/msys setup on windows and it compiles fine with the changes. Can you see if R1891 works for you?

Yep. That works (except for actually building with cygwin which is a work in progress.. sort of) and is what I had originally. I just tried to come up with a method that requires less typing.. I tend to prefer those . Anyways, no biggie.
