New car names

We need to change the names of our cars to avoid trademark infringement on their manufacturers. So what should we call them? I think I want to change the S2000 to "X3000". Any ideas for the Carrera or the Mustang?

Having to change the names of the cars is super lame.Anyway.I like the idea of vaguely significant numbers and letters... the mustang could be the GT, the carrera could be the CS, etc.The basic idea of the law is that someone doesn't play the game, say "hey, this Ford Mustang GT kinda sucks", and then not buy a car because of it.

The only thing about using a few letters/numbers is that we risk being accused of ripping off LFS. That's what they do...why do they have to take all the good ideas...

What about changing the Carrera to the "gII" - get it??

hah... i'm not sure if calling it a 911 would be enough of a change or not...i think CS is reasonable, plus it stands for Club Sport (often called carrera CS, i think)

I checked in new names for all the cars:S2000 = XSMustang = GTCarrera = CSS2000-R = XSR

911 is probably a valid name.As I recall, Intel started branding their chips "Pentium" because a court ruled that you couldn't trademark numbers (386, 486), so they couldn't stop competitors like AMD from marketing their chips under the same number.Seems like it'd apply to 911 as well, but I'm certainly not qualified to offer legal advice.

Hmm, that's a good point.We could also probably call the XS the 2000, then, if we wanted.

the simplest way is make shortcuts in menu:
T=Toyota
S=Supra
98=1998 made
so:
TS98
or you could make this shortcuts into an separated text file :wink: but,if so how you say then the text file looks:
T=Tojota
S=%úprá
98=1998 made
