REQUEST: Aftermarket parts and Rallycross.
So i have two requests, first those aftermarket parts.

I've always wanted some great tuning look, so this would be a nice idea. Also drift cars have bodykits. So i wanted these =P

Then second: Rallycross.

It would be nice to VDrift gone to rallytracks. Dirt flying, tight races and huge slides, and mud. These is what id like in VDrift

So i am back =P

Hi, glad you're back Smile

To do body kits we'd have to have a way to "build" 3D-modeled parts onto cars. Actually we sort of already do this, the glass in the car is a separate model from the body, which is separate from the interior. We could add optional body parts, perhaps. This is a nice graphical feature but doesn't much help the gameplay, except for adding to customizability. Which brings me to tuning...

The return and improvement of the "car parts" system is indeed something that needs to get done soon. It's on my list of things to work on for the next release, and because of your comment I've bumped it up a little. Smile

Interesting thoughts. This being a simulation, what sort of policy would you use for add on parts? Something where they cost money, or just something where you can select to use them or not? I feel that, as a simulator, part of the elegance of vdrift is it's simplicity.

Rallycross is something we've been wanting to add, since we have a rally car and now simulate bumpy, slippery surfaces. We just need some tracks!

Well, if there is coming some kind of career mode, you could buy parts in career mode :p

Yes, you could buy parts in career mode - do you propose to make these parts unavailable unless in career mode? I'm not trying to start anything, just asking.

So maybe in the non-career mode all of the parts and tuning options would be available, but in career mode you have to buy them.
