CXXABI_1.3.1 error after installing?..

Well what driver are you using? I think your card should work with the open-source radeon driver, I think it is older than the cards fglrx (ATI's closed-source Linux driver) supports. To tell if you have direct rendering available or not, use glxinfo:

display: :0  screen: 0
direct rendering: Yes
You should get something like that. If it is not available check your drivers. Otherwise VDrift should work.

In that case, try going through the display settings in Options -> Display and turning everything down to low, turn off the HUD, lower the resolution, and see if you get better performance that way.
