Thoughts on cameras behind car

Recently while playing VDrift I've noticed that the camera's position behind the car is a little awkward. it seems to be looking directly at the car and too high up. I feel like the camera needs to be a little lower, so one can see through the rear glass and windshield of the car, and look down the road further. Perhaps it would be better to have the camera look ahead of the car a bit, and reduce the downward angle of the camera. Thoughts?
