FWIW, what I was hoping was to have two versions of the XS: an AP1 (2000-2003) and a AP2 (2004-2008). They each have noticeable changes in handling characteristics and engine. The current XS as it is drawn is an AP2.

There are about 5-6 "XS" in my local club and I'm friendly with both AP1 and AP2 drivers so getting measurments and such would be no big deal. I have an AP1 myself...

Anyway, just throwing that out there.

IMO, I think we should worry less about action from Honda wrt the XS model than say using a non-GPL model of a real car (i.e. lifted from a commercial game or whatever). thelusiv has drawn the car from scratch, I say that is good enough. We'll just be ricers and debadge it so there are no issues. It makes me wonder how many adverts that feature a car in them have gone through the hoops of contacting the manufacturer for "clearance".

If a lawyer contacts the project then we can re-visit and potentially make the car look different. As for the dynamic model, it is way too "off" to be considered an "industrial simulator grade" model so I can't see the issue. Yes it is based on a real car but then so what? I don't think we'll eer get close enough for them to prove that we copied something or similar - VAMOS is good but not that good.

Btw, all-season tires on an S2k at an auto-cross really suck. LOL

I've got an idea about "double VAMOS" that I'll post later.
