If you're using a gamepad or joystick, it's probably your controller, mine does that too. If you watch the values on your controller, even after having calibrated it, you will see that it doesn't always return to 0, and sometimes may be a very low value but still on. This would cause it to leave the brakes on all the time. It's recommended you set small deadzones on most of your axes.
