Joystick control in "main menu"

Hi,

I'm playing vdrift using my Logitech Wireless Rumble Pad 2 without any problems.

However, there's a strange behaviour in the "main menu" (where you can choose between practice, network game etc.). There some buttons work (i can click on actual selected menu item or quit the game) but I can't use any of the joystick's axis to move the around the actual selected menu item. On the other hand, this works in each of the "submenus", e.g., i can use the joystick to select the car, track etc.

Any ideas why the main menu doesn't work?
