Maybe current Vamos physics are simple/optimized enough to run all of that with no problems, i don't know (it probably is), but i can tell that my un-optimized physics in Motorsport do not allow more than 6 cars at once on screen, and most of the problem is physics.

stenyak, do you work on the Motorsport project? If so, nice to have you around, Motorsport looks like a promising sim edit: I see from the link in your last post that you are the developer for Motorsport. Sorry for not realizing this before, I don't really follow RSCnet.org much.

Vamos could definitely stand some optimization. Set up a race with 3 AI players and you'll see what I mean. I'm not sure where to start with optimization but it will probably be a little further down the road before we start doing any heavy work on our simulation engine.

On that note, it would be really cool to combine the code in Vamos with ODE and do things like fully simulated suspension, and full collision detection between everything. I'm doing some 3D projects for school this semester and ODE is one of the libraries I plan to learn in the process. I think it would solve a lot of our collision issues and probably speed up simulation somewhat. I guess we'll see...
