Which VDrift version are you running?

data/cars/CS/CS.car should contain:

[balance-weight]
position = 0.38, -0.25, 0.05
mass = 80.0

You can also check center of mass by enabling debug info option.

I'm not sure which version I'm running, I'm using the latest from Gentoo (https://packages.gentoo.org/package/games-sports/vdrift)

When looking at the CS.car file, I do not see the data you are referring to:

# these are used to calculate the weight distribution and balance

Am I running an old version then? I noticed that the svn repo does have the parameters you mentioned.
