That would be interessting, yes. But also a g-meter (graphically for the normal user and with digits for analysing) on the HUD would be great, to work over the tires, breaks, etc.
But a testtrack would be nice, too. Where you have a special setting for tests like break tests 60-0mph (with a timecounter that runs... but you need either a scripting interface or to hard code this.)
I imaging this:
You start up the test track, press a button (or open a console and enter a command), then you speed up to 60mph, you hear a sound and the car breaks itself or you break. Then you see how long it take and how long the distance was. The same thing for acceleration tests.
And a pylon track. To test the handling.
What do you think? Oh, can those pylons be objects that obey the laws of physics?
