Which one is better
Vdrift? or Racer?
i think racer is more stable than vdrift now
and racer can add a lot of cars and tracks, but i don't know how to uninstall racer(it's *.run file)

i hope next version vdrift can be better than racer.

Well, that's a matter of opinion. Smile Racer has been around a lot longer, has a bigger community, and a few graphical and gameplay features that VDrift doesn't have. In a few areas like collision response it might be more realistic. The thing that made me more interested in VDrift than Racer though, was things like the fact that VDrift is truly Free Software, not just source-available software, like Racer. VDrift has much better support for FreeBSD, Linux and probably also OS X than Racer does. Both of these things attracted me to VDrift as a developer where Racer doesn't interest me much for development. I think we've also been releasing a little faster than Racer has in the past.

I agree with you thelusiv.
On one point your are wrong: The source for racer is not available anymore (only for the latest stable which is quite old). The maker is not releasing the source for new stable versions (if they are coming out ever)

Things I like in VDrift over racer: opensource, more releases, good linux version.
Things I like in racer over VDrift: better steering with keyboard, more cars tracks.
Things that needs to be improved in VDrift: racing against AI (hard I know), career game.
BTW: since some things make VDrift unplayable for me (most important: I have no good graphics car to run all tracks well) I race in the good old Sports car GT (best racing game ever)
