GLAD SITES BACK UP NEED SOME HELP
i downloaded vdrift and i compiled it ok. but when i try to run it i get an error saying to place vdrift in the "data" folder.... WHAT THE HELL!?!?! Help needed. mac os x 10.4.9 newest xcode

Need some more information...can you post what is printed on the console when you run VDrift from there?

since you are talking about compiling it i assume you have done a svn checkout, including the data.

so if you want to run it you either have the move the compiled binary next the the data folder from svn or make an alias to the data folder next to the compiled binary.

abs1nth you are right but my problem is WERE IS THE DATA FOLDER???? Please help me. also i just opened terminal and ran the command

cd vdrift
and then
Code:
svn checkout
it seemed to have worked because i was able to compile vdrift without any issues but wen i am looking for a folder containing things such as the cars and tracks i cannot find them!! all the vamos stuff is there but i guess the cars and tracks and data isnt. Is there some step to downloading the data that i am not aware about???

abs1nth, could you perhaps post the commands to symlink the data folder on OS X on the wiki? One of these days I'll get around to writing a FAQ and will include lots of questions like this.

If you don't have the data at all, perhaps that's because we've moved the data out of the main SVN and onto a separate one.

through some searching i was able to get the data (yay!) you guys help did help and i am happy the sites back up (again) thanks everyone.
