DETROIT. why i like racer better
DETROIT was one of my favs in racer, so i was excited when it was put in vDrift, but- what's this...

my favorite part about that track was that is have a variety of spots where your car woul "Glide through" the gaurdrail, so i could explore the track and drive around town and look at the buildings. In vDrift there is only one small gap that is too small for your car to go through, in racer it looks the same size, but you can go through it.

every car sim needs an "open city" track vDrift has changed this.

So let me get this right...you want us to make the guard rails stop working?

I've gotten pretty good at going over the wall, try that.

If it's anything like the rest of the tracks, once you go a certain distance from it, you'll fall off the edge of the world anyway. Silly people. Who in their right mind would give Chris Columbus three boats to sail off the edge of the world.

you (or someone else so inclined) could always use detroit as the base for a new, more open city track

Do we have a way to get DOF/JOE format files into Blender? It wouldn't be hard to provide some small breaks in the guard rail for people who just want to explore. The other areas might be easier to drift on.

You can get dof objects into blender by first converting them to 3ds using zmodeler (version 1 of zmodeler works fine for me under wine).
