Hi, its nice to have you here. Wanna help in development? We need a track for the next vdrift release, which is developed just for vdrift so we don't get any license problem.

Sure, why not. You can also check the packages that I make to see if they work on a power mac for me since I only have access to intel macs. Go to http://cotharyus.net and go do the downloads section and try those out. They are latest SVN versions from the date given on the download. Probably much better than the last release Smile

Or the minimal, either one - see, I should be building a universal binary, but I haven't actually had anyone test it yet - so it'd be good to have someone check. If you want the full, and you have the bandwidth, go for it - it's not going to hurt me for you to grab the full one.

Yea, the auto x isn't functional yet - remember you're looking at a test version when you use the packages on my site, but they are more advanced than the release version. As far as quiting when selecting a track - what happens if you select, say, Mosport pretty quickly - does the game actually work?

@cotharyus

Your r1813 doesn´t work for me. -(

Only noise, as we say "rosa rauschen".
Cars doesn´t accelerate, much to slow.

At nuerburgring the original ax2 doesn´t move from the green beside the track.

My modified F1 closes the application.

May be some more things...

That version does a lot of what you're talking about for me Cologne - I don't know if that's a problem with my build or with the SVN version.

Many of the tracks have issues in the latest SVN... check out:
http://vdrift.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=765
for a nice list of problems.

Cologne, you might want to double check that you have the latest versions of some of the car data files... the AX2 accelerates well for me and seems to have good brakes. Here's the md5sum for the latest AX2.car:

Some of the problems may result from errors in the car definition: the AX2 car has 0,3 m travel. so the car often "hangs".

I compared the 2007-03-23 release and cotharyus Mac Build r1813 AX2.car. They were identical.

The brakes of AX2 are a problem driving for a long time exclusive my modified F1 with maximal downforce and "carbon brakes". I posted a smiley!

Later i will test the r1813 on my macBook Intel...
