I have a steering-wheel form speed-link.
The wheel is recognized just fine and works without problems with colin-McRae-Rally 2004 running under cedega.
I can't get the steering to work in vdrift. Gas, Brakes and Transmission is fine but the steering is not working. When I assing the axis in the controller-setup the car steering is totally wrong.
ok i found out.
When assigning left and right in the menu, the wron axis is saved in the config-file.
Manually editing the control-file in .vdrift solved the problem.
It would be nice to have the same display of movement as when using the mouse.
Is the steering analog, when using steering-wheel?
Yes, the steering is analog with a wheel. For the best steering feel when using a wheel, set Options->Controls->Joystick Options->Joystick Type to "Steering Wheel" and set Touchiness Compensation (in the same menu) to "200 degree mode". I assume your wheel turns through 200 degrees (like most of them do) -- this will ensure a 1 to 1 mapping of your steering wheel position to the car's steering wheel position.
