New public domain track: Rouen-Les-Essarts
I converted a track called Rouen-Les-Essarts from an F1C9902 mod called Prototype C. It was made by the Virtua_LM team and released into public domain.
Info about the real-life track:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rouen-Les-Essarts
Info about the track model:
http://www.virtua-lm.com/disclaimer.html
It still needs some work; it's been forever since I did any track importing. The grass needs to be made bumpy for one. By the way, I updated the track editor to do a much better job of auto-tracing roads.
The track is in the latest data SVN. If you have a recent VDrift release you can also just download it from here and put it in your tracks folder:
http://vdrift.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc...cks/rouen/
(click "Download GNU tarball")

joevenzon Wrote:I left the shadows out because I usually play with shaders and shadows on, and it looks weird when things have 2 sets of shadows. :-) maybe we can standardize the shadow objects names (or use a flag) and turn them off if the shadows are on and vice versa. i usually play with the shadows off.

joevenzon Wrote:If you update the track with 15 parameters and put the shadows in there, I'll add the code to ignore the shadow objects if shader shadows are on. can you email me the original list.txt with all the objects (before you took out the shadows and the like). since a joe object has no reference as to the texture files used i rather not try to guess. thanks.
