wings position
hi all!
I have a question about the wing position: here is an example of tc6 car:
Code:
[wing.front]
position = 0.0, 0.0, 0.2
frontal-area = 2
drag-coefficient = 0.3

[wing.center]
position = 0.0, 1.9, 0.20
frontal-area = 0.2
drag-coefficient = 0.0
surface-area = 0.3
lift-coefficient = -0.5
efficiency = 0.95

[wing.rear]
position = 0.0, -2.14, 0.37
frontal-area = 0.05
drag-coefficient = 0.0
surface-area = 0.5
lift-coefficient = -1.2
efficiency = 0.95

why the front wing have y = 0.0 (in the middle of the car) and the center wing have 1.9 (about in front of the car)?
in my mind the front and center will be inverted... is there any cause to have this?
thanks in advance!

Yeah it is somewhat misleading. Front and center should be flipped. But in general the names can be arbitrary e.g. wing.0, wing.1...

is it possible now to add the spoiler mesh to the wing.rear section. and then position it so it looks right??

@zimluura check the latest F1-02. Mass and aerodynamic center are at (wing) mesh origin to keep config files and loader simple.

thanks NaN!!
another question: in the case of the tc6, the 3 wings what they mean?
the rear is intended the rear spoiler, the front, the front shape (from the hood to the road) and the center? is intended the front glass?
(if yes, why it doesn't have some other pars like surface-area etc?)
thanks in advance!

center is usually car body aerodynamics without lift thus no lift surface area(is optional).

i was hoping to retrofit all my cars with the new engine improvements. but i haven't gotten around to it. so if anyone wants to they can take a stab. my only condition is that i still be able to tweak them later.

tangent: if trim level variations are added we can use the tc to make a street car and a wrc trim.
