I run the VDrift-2007-03-23-minimal-2.package and I get this Error:
403 Forbidden
Download failed.
What is happening??? :? :? :? :?: :?: :?:

You should try it again.
The problem is in the autopackage files, it selects a mirror which does not work.
I hope the script selects a mirror randomly, or everybody will encouter this problem.
(I still dont like autopackage... why not using the loki installer?)

I turned off the firestarter and... NOTHING AGAIN!!!

You still can extract the package itself with sh Vdriftblabla -x
I greped for "www" through the autopackage files and found then one entry called mirrors. maybe it helps if you just delete the last mirror from the list.
But i dont know how firm you are with linux and the shell, this might be just too much for you.
The Loki-Installer was for all the other readers and contributors
Its a system like autopackage but invented by loki to easily install binary software. UT used it.

Run this:

chmod 755 VDrift-2007-03-23-full-2.package
./VDrift-2007-03-23-minimal-2.package -xIt'll extract files to a folder like VDrift-2007-03-23-minimal-2 and the game and data files will be there. It would normally have install all the files in VDrift-2007-03-23-minimal-2/usr to your /usr.

I manage to install the game!!!
The problem was that the packets I was trying to install were for Ubuntu 32Bit.
I download the 64Bit package and everything OK.
