When is the next release? - protomor - 09-10-2007 Can we do a mini one at least? Im trying to market this to my real life drifter friends and they are all computer stupid. - joevenzon - 09-10-2007 Eventually the plan is to have the release just include 1 community-modeled car and 1 community-modeled track, and then provide a data-manager application to download more cars and tracks separately. I'm not sure if we'll get all of that done by the next release. As for the release timing, I have a post here: http://vdrift.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=736 where I've made a list of things that I broke when re-writing the graphics engine. As you can see, they're almost all fixed again, so I think once that list is done (a few weeks) it'll be time to release, since there have been a ton of bug fixes and improvements since the 3/23 release. After that release, we can start getting to work on some of the polish: http://wiki.vdrift.net/Release_Planning - protomor - 09-10-2007 cool BTW I cant get into the SVN folder... what gives? - cotharyus - 09-11-2007 If any of your friends run Mac's send them to cotharyus.net and the download section. I'm keeping reasonably recent SVN builds there for OS X users. - joevenzon - 09-11-2007 protomor Wrote:cool BTW I cant get into the SVN folder... what gives? We switched hosts a month back or so and not all of the features are set back up yet.... - protomor - 09-11-2007 I got it. I had the wrong directory name. I need to get it set back up. I wonder how hard it would be for me to convert it to a visual studio file. |
