1969 Corvette - kidrock - 07-15-2007
Would anybody like to see it in vdrift? i know i sure would!! (i will get info if someone would model it)
- xTs - 07-15-2007
Yes we would like to!
Could be the first car which stays in vdrift, cause license issues are solved (the car has to be under a license which does not conflict with the GPL)
Dont ask, just do it

Exactly the reason i wanted this car! also the 350 big block breaks the rear end pretty easily in second gear! I have another question though. Which Engine? Here is a site showing all the different engines available.

Is this the right stingray?

I vote for the 427 c.i. Turbo-Jet V-8 4V carburetor L71/L89*

Hmm thats what i was thinking.

I am now getting info on this car. i cant find much online but luckily this car is in GT4 so i can get the specs from there (except for the engine specs sadly they only have the 350HP) P.S. I am going to go off of the 4 gear specs (standard close ratio) instead of the superslose Heavy Duty 4 gear (just because of lack of info). Now this is my favorite car in the world and i am 90% sure that the transmission specs are the same for all the engine types. i will check out the specs of it tomorrow (including all suspension specs). (i guess im going to have to make it all stock again! (it curently has 700 horse power and is super-charged and can brea the rear end loose from a dead stop in 4th gear)(it has a race tranny on it). i am going to have fun with this one!!
Edit: someones going to have to tell me how to check in my .car file!! (YAY 75th post!)

I can give you access to check in the file when the time comes. I'm really looking forward to seeing this car in VDrift, it looks pretty hot.
For the record, it won't be the first fully free car in VDrift, because I made the XS myself and kcid made a few other cars were specially for the game, like the TL/TL2.

That Access would be very appreciated. now whose going to model this car in blender? I could probably do it but it would take FAR to long (im a blender n00b). im starting to work on the .car file now. i was thinking for the name it could be cs69 :?: :?: what do you guys think?

I have run into a slight problem. GT4 doesn't show the values of everything STOCK. it only shows modified values. i will just have to look some more on the internet...
- xTs - 07-17-2007
You should look for someone who owns this car, he might be able to tell you everything you need
- kidrock - 07-18-2007
xTs I wish it were that easy but this is a car that you don't find many of in good condition. also the 427 is much more rare then the 350. this car is $80,000 mint new and thats for the 350. last time i saw a 427 for sale was nearly 2 yeas ago and was running @ $155,000 at an auction (beautiful car!!) when i become a millionaire this is the car I'm going to buy!! i did a bit more research and the 427 comes with the heavy duty transmission (super close) rather then the normal close transmission to not break under the heavy load! so this is gonna be a hard car to get info on!

I just thought about searching the internet for a forum about corvettes and ask there. It might be unlikely that someone with that car reads your post, but its worth a try.
- kidrock - 07-18-2007
I like your thinking xTs. By the way any word on whos going to model this? (it is out of my abilities!  ?) Also when do i get access to check in what i got (though im far from done!)?
- kidrock - 07-18-2007
Just found a website all about corvettes and i was just wondering what kind of info i should give out. should i say that i am working for a freeware application called vdrift and needed some info on a '69 corvette (427) and post all the info i need in a text box... or should i do otherwise? (dont want to run into any trouble here) these guys on the forums seem like EXPERTS! im sure any one of them can answer my questions in a heart beat... very promising. may be done quicker then i expected. (tires may be tricky though).
P.S. For the fuel consumption how should i insert the info? i know its 12 MPG and i noticed that the corvette z06 hasa a couple of zeros (something like .00016 or something) i assumed this was off and made to be unrealistic so i thought .12 is right (or EXTREMELY wrong :o :o ) so i was just wondering about that.
P.P.S (thank you xTs again for the idea of a forum!)
