RE: Error compiling VDrift SVN in Xcode - jpenguin - 03-09-2007

I've downloaded the newest svn-code, but when I builld in xcode, it complains about "sdl.framework/headers not a directory". WHAT THE HECK DOES THAT MEAN?

Hi jpenguin, I'm glad you were able to get the SVN checkout done. By the way, I split your topic from the other thread because others might have your same specific problem, and the other thread's title wasn't very helpful.

I'm don't know much about OS X but can point you to this: http://wiki.vdrift.net/index.php/Compiling#OS_X

I'm not sure if that helps. abs1nth maintains the OS X port, hopefully he'll notice this and reply. Smile

I actually had my dad checck the SVN outon his offfice connection, it took mwe 2 weeks to explain how to do it. Seeing the size of it I think it would have taken months to download it. Next week I'll try to have him upload a rar snapshot of the code.

most likely that the symlinks contained in frameworks like SDL were broken.

that most likely means the SVN checkout was done on an incapable system (like windows) or improperly transfered.

you could replace SDL (and the other broken frameworks) with the latest versions from libsdl.org and all should be well.

anyway, as i understand it there will be a release in a few days

Yes yje SVN Checkout was done by Windows, why should that mess it up? I geuse I'll delete the FWS and do an "svn update"

as i said because windows doesn't support symlinks

that should be fine
