Somebody please model this track! - thelusiv - 02-12-2007

There's a nice track not terribly far from where I live called Carolina Motorsports Park. It's a pretty good track with not a lot of elevation change. Trackpedia has a very informative page on it. http://www.trackpedia.com/w/images/c/c4/CarolinaMP.jpg

I think this would be a good track for someone to try modeling because it's fairly simple to make a flat road. I can also probably find some good photographs of the track and surrounding area since some of my friends go there to race occasionally. If anyone wants to give this a try, let me know and I'll dig up some more info.

kcid has started modeling this track using the TORCS track editor. He's checked the resulting XML files into the VDrift art repository.

Here's a video of someone driving an Accord on this track: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8548196072579811280&q=karl+kondor

Yep, and the straights are fast too. Good friend of mine was there last weekend with his 328is - was great fun for him. One of my co-workers is a marshall on the weekends. I can get any info desired for the most part.

It's ~30 minutes up the road from me. Not sure if I'll have the time/money to get on track this summer with the M3 (car needs work) but next summer for certain.

Another great local track is Mont-Tremblant (St-Jovite):
