RG can't get out of second gear (automatic) - reece146 - 12-06-2006
Can someone try driving the RG with an automatic transmission and clutch?
It tries to shift to third gear but the revs drop and then it shifts back to second gear.
What is the RG supposed to be anyway? My son likes driving it. I don't recognize it - some kind of Brit car?

It's a Renault 12 Gordini and it's supposed to be not all that fast, but only second gear is not good

I should add that the car does this when being driven with keyboard controls. Messing around with the various keyboard tuning params does not seem to make a difference.

I've just committed a fix to only allow down-shift when the clutch is fully released in auto-trans mode. This should solve your problem.
