FPS jumped from 25 to 45 with last SVN update, bute-E-full
gentoo amd64 system.

This is probably because of anisotropic filtering now being Off by default rather than at its maximum setting. You can now adjust the level of anisotropic filtering in the menu Options -> Display to find a nice medium between performance and good looking textures.

Even a 8x i get a big boost, I recently upgrade nvidia drivers but i'm pretty sure i checked FPS after that.
maybe the gcc4. bug fix?
