vdrift review - abs1nth - 08-01-2006 http://www.macobserver.com/columns/slackersguide/2006/20060725.shtml - thelusiv - 08-01-2006 I saw this a few days ago when people started following his link to our site. I'm happy that people are reviewing VDrift and liking it. However there are some factual errors in the review. I'll see if you guys can pick them out. - kcid - 08-02-2006 Yeah really cool to read a review. Altough the sentence: "The cars themselves are typically European builds" got me thinking about building some American cars Oke here come the mistakes 1: There is no Gas pump at which you can refuel 2: Joining a server? Where, tell me so I can join 2 Anyway it's very nice that somebody takes the time to create a review of Vdrift. That way it will get more attention. 1 thing in his story is absolutely not a mistake: "this is one of the best open source efforts I've seen in a while" Goodnight all, I'm off to build some "American" cars hehe. - thelusiv - 08-02-2006 kcid Wrote:Goodnight all, I'm off to build some "American" cars hehe.We need a few more American cars, at least some non-Fords. We have the fewest of those... saleen S7R that american (BMW motor) right? - kcid - 08-03-2006 Which American and Japanese cars are the most popular? Do you guys mean like mitshubishi's and toyota's? And Chevy's and.... I'm european so please give me some names of some nice American/Japanese cars. - thelusiv - 08-03-2006 Alright here's a few good RWD Japanese models: Nissan: 350Z, 300ZX, 240SX, 280ZX, Skyline Acura: NSX Toyota: MR-2, Supra, Trueno (I know we have the Levin, but a real AE86 would be cool too ) Lexus: RWD ISxxx models, SCxxx Mazda: RX-7, RX-8, Miata Mitsubishi: 3000GT Speed Racer's Mach 5 and a few RWD American models: GM: Corvette, Camaro/Firebird/TransAm, El Camino Saturn: Sky Dodge: Viper, Charger, Dart Ford: we have plenty already General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard The Batmobile Now for FWD/AWD cars, here are a few more ideas: Acura Integra GS-R/Type R, Honda Civic Si/Type R, Nissan Sentra SE-R, Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T or GS-X, Ford Focus Rally, Mazda MX-3 V6, Honda CRX Si, Subaru WRX, Mitsibishi Lancer Evolution VII/VIII/IX Let me know if you want to know specifics on any of those. - joevenzon - 08-03-2006 I agree with thelusiv's japanese car list. For american cars, I want to emphasize the corvette -- we totally need one. Also, having a viper and cadillac sts would be nice. For european cars, I think we could use a new porsche and an audi. - joevenzon - 08-03-2006 I agree with thelusiv's japanese car list.
