2 new cars soon to be ready - kcid - 06-16-2006

I'm still in the process of finishing up the exterior mesh of the RX-8. I have however finished the exterior model of a '60's mini cooper S.
I hope to texture it this weekend so I can get it into svn. It's exterior is about 2600 faces so it's also not a fps killer. Here's a screenshot of the mini: http://www.kcid.nl/vdrift/mini.jpg

Nice job on the old Mini, I just drove it. One issue we need not forget to fix is that both minis pull to the sides when driving. I'll check out the .car files for them soon and see if I can fix them.

Thelusiv: They indeed both pull to the left. It has to be something with the .car file since the centerpoint of the car mesh is exactly in center and not a little left/right

A S version of the new Mini Cooper would not be that difficult since I only have to change the hood, exhaust and a few minor details. But I think that will not come soon since then you would have 2 almost the same cars like the XS and XSR before. Maybe I'll make it as a addon car in the future for fun

the point is, the S would be more fun to drive since the normal cooper is a bit underpowered (at least for the track).

(i do have an 2002 cooper IRL, so i know)

also we could tune the S into a JCW (http://www.johncooper.co.uk/) just by modifying the .car file (as i did for the cooper S in racer)
