Mismatch between awareness and content on the internet - bechtibechti - 05-11-2014
Hi,
while i tried to create a track i searched for information on that topic and also for self-made tracks and genereal information about the game on the internet but i found e.g. no tracks outside vdrift.net. And even the content and community in vdrift.net is little (of course no offence, just a statement), whereas the game is mentionend in prominent portals/magazines and generally seems to be well-known.
Anyone agree / opinions?

The project has quite a history, with releases going back as far as 2008. Currently the activity has been rather low unfortunately, the last official release is from 2012.
And yes, the majority of content is hosted at a central place http://sourceforge.net/p/vdrift/code/HEAD/tree/vdrift-data/ (40+ cars and tracks).
The main motivation here is, to be able to adapt/change files and file formats more easily, as the project is in continuous development.
