Plz help me - Mekala - 03-11-2011 I m trying to modeling cars and tracks in Autodesk 3ds Max. I have a lot of problems. 1)In wiki ,it is said Create Models You will need to create 3D models using Blender for the car's body, the glass pieces, and the wheels. Each different model must be a separate Blender object and each must have a separate texture. Models must be entirely made of triangles Do i want to create separate three 3ds max files for the car's body, the glass pieces, and the wheels? Could anybody please explain me this regarding to Autodesk 3ds Max ? 2) what is the file size of a car model and track ? - NaN - 03-11-2011 Quote:Do i want to create separate three 3ds max files for the car's body, the glass pieces, and the wheels? You have to export separate meshes from 3ds max as 3ds or obj files. Import them in blender and export from blender as joe files. The wheels have to be unit size, will be scaled. Import a oem_wheel.joe into blender to see what I mean. Quote:what is the file size of a car model and track ?The sizes are in metric system units (1.0 -> 1.0 meter). Try to import a body.joe into blender. Quote:each must have a separate textureNot needed for the current version. You can use the same texture on multiple meshes. - Mekala - 03-11-2011 Thank you - zimluura - 03-11-2011 you can also load up the wheels from the carparts directory. take a look at the GTR.car. if you don't have any plans for a wheel mesh, or just want to get the car in the game fast this can be pretty useful. [wheel.fl] texture = wheel/10_spoke_f.png mesh = wheel/10_spoke_f.joe |
