ERROR: Couldn't get parameter "wheel.fl.arm"... an - flo - 12-09-2010

Hey everyone,

I get this ERROR at car loading
ERROR: Couldn't get parameter "wheel.fl.arm" from my/car/path/
with different car types - however VDrift is able to load the car and start the race.
And the more important thing - but I don't know if this is related to the mentioned error - the AI car (Porsche CS e.g. but others as well) rolls over in the 2nd curve of the Hockenheimring.

Flo.

This is a reminder that the car suspension (but also other parameters) need review.

I am working myself through the cars slowly. Unfortunately it is rather time consuming process, looking for suspension geometry information, drawings and fixing car dimensions, weight distribution to be as realistic as possible.

So the overturning of the AI driver is a result of wrong or lets say not realistic parameters?

I'd have to test it to exclude other sources. But to give you an example:
CS.car:
Code:
# these are used to calculate the weight distribution and balance
[particle-00]
mass = 60.0
position = 0.1, 0.5, -0.45

[particle-01]
mass = 130.0
position = 0.4, -1.07, 0.1

[particle-02]
mass = 130.0
position = -0.4, -1.07, 0.1

[particle-03]
mass = 215.0
position = 0.4, 1.09, 0.0

[particle-04]
mass = 215.0
position = -0.4, 1.09, 0.0

690kg mass at/above the height of the door handles of the car.
