VDrift wont start. i click on it to run. the DOS prompt opens, and i get this message; The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). click ok to terminate the aplication. im not sure what graphics card i have, or if my CPU is fast enough, but i thought id give it a shot. any help will be greatly appreciated. this is the 2nd game ive downloaded and cannot run. the first was Rigs Of Rods.

Hi muscledrifter,
So I guess you are running it on Windows?
Please post your stderr.txt, stdout.txt(you will find them in your vdrift folder).
To get your graphics card type:
Right click on the desktop, then Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Adapter
Alternatively download/run: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

ok, graphics card, mobile intel 915GM/GMS 910GML Express. as for the stderr.txt or stdout.txt i could not find them.

You might want to update your drivers:

You might try a more recent build:

Are you able to run other OpenGL games like Half-Life, Quake 3, TORCS?

thank you for the info, and the updated driver link. however, your link for a more recent build doesnt work... media fire said teh file was either moved or deleted.

weird, the download worked for me.
maybe deleting your browser cache would help.
edit: oh, i think you meant same error message in the game. nevermind, disregard my post

I googled on

What Windows version are you running?
Please make sure you've installed all service packs.
You may have to install the Visual C redistributable:

Please report the outcome. I'd like to know if VDrift depends on the VC Redistributable.
