Cant run VDrift, too - Bino - 10-30-2009
Hello @all!
I have played all the previous VDrift versions before, without ever having had a problem, and I liked it very much.
Now I have downloaded the latest windows 2009-06-15 version, and there seems to be no way to run it. When trying to run it, I get a command box appear, then the vdrift window, and then everything disappears.
I have read all the previous posts abuot this problem, and I tried anything. I have downloaded the latest drivers to my Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 graphics card (which is able to work proper with even GTR).
I have tried to install these, as an other user could be helped with:

I think I made sure that I use no currupted version of VDrift.
And so on and so on.

Hmm, it looks like it's not finding a file that it shouldn't be looking for in the first place. If you have the time, can you zip up the folder data/skins/simple/menus and post it online somewhere? It should be very small.

Interesting, it looks like you DO have a NetworkGame menu. Ah hah, maybe you had an older version of VDrift and you installed the new version over the old version? I mean, that *should* be an OK thing to do but in this case it looks like it may have caused a problem.
Delete this file:
data/skins/simple/menus/NetworkGame
Let me know if that works.

IT REALLY WORKED!
I deleted the file you told me and everything was fine!
The new version and its cars are great, this game is the best ever!
