F1-02 issue... - chrpapas - 04-25-2009 You may have noticed that but i didn't see this mentioned neither in the posted bugs nor in the issues. The F1-02 car lifts in the air very easily and when it does, it starts wriggling like a drill without stopping. In order to reproduce this easily, in Monza 88 truck place the car so it faces the finishing line in the wrong way. Then increase the speed and while racing towards the pit stop try to place both right tires on the place where the umbrellas are.I know that the player is not supposed to go in the wrong the way but this i the perfect place to reproduce this. - joevenzon - 04-27-2009 So I think there were two issues: 1) car bounding boxes didn't cover the wheels 2) cars had no air drag from spinning Both of these should be addressed in the latest SVN; are you using the last release or the latest SVN? I'd try out your test case myself but my computer is down for a few days. - chrpapas - 04-27-2009 I am using the last release. When you are able to, please check this bug and let me know if you face any difficulties in reproducing it.Thanks. - joevenzon - 04-28-2009 I just tried it out and it appears to be fixed. - chrpapas - 04-30-2009 OK!Good work! F1 oversteer - hesler - 11-27-2010 I am using the latest release version. When start to drive F1 car it turns right softly. Later on when pressing left or right it starts to drift/spin too fast. It seems that car oversteer. Does the latest repo revision fixes also this, or is this situation intended and it is not a bug? I used all possible combination of ABS and TCL options on and off. I am running the game on Mac Os X 10.6.4 - hesler - 11-27-2010 I revised my thoughts and it looks more like wheels loose traction. TCL means TCS of course ![]() - NaN - 11-28-2010 Might be the TCS. Will have a look. - NaN - 11-28-2010 The F1-02 behaves okay for me. Can somebody else confirm the bug? - hesler - 11-28-2010 I dont know maybe its just my subjective feeling. But as for this turning right I'm sure it is something wrong. I tested F1-02 on Monza and Paul Ricard. I run practice mode and just after start I was pressing only accelerate button and viechle turned right as I mentioned. After hitting a band it just went mad. ![]() I use last binary release version (for mac os x), from the top of the website. - NaN - 11-28-2010 Quote:last binary release versionOh, I missed that bit, have been looking for the bug in the trunk. - charlieg - 11-29-2010 NaN Wrote:Release early, release often. You guys need to do a new release.Quote:last binary release versionOh, I missed that bit, have been looking for the bug in the trunk. ![]() - NaN - 11-29-2010 You're right Charlie. But there is so much to fix. Especially the cars data needs some serious attention, fixing dimensions, weight distribution, brakes, engine data. - thelusiv - 11-30-2010 Continue discussion about releases here: http://vdrift.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=1455 |
