instable F1-02 - cologne - 12-21-2008 The F1-02 ist very instable on straight at higher speeds, about 200 Km/h and more. So i couldn´t finish a round on the new nuerburgring track This Problem appeared with all vdrift version after the "2007-03-23 Mac OS X release". iMac PPC 2GHz - joevenzon - 12-21-2008 Unstable in what way? - cologne - 12-22-2008 joevenzon Wrote:Unstable in what way? Sideways ;-) It tries to break out to left or right. I can make a trial without downforce... One-third downforce is nervous, but it doesn´t break out. May be a problem with suspension/spring-system. Not a problem to solve now, but keep an eye on this in refactor! - joevenzon - 12-22-2008 The discrete integrator used for physics in the refactor is better suited to high spring force situations like the F1-02 than the old code, so hopefully it will react better. I tried the F1-02 on the old neurburgring and it *seemed* to be ok, but I don't have a really good feeling about how to drive the F1-02 and so I don't know if it's really correct. I guess we'll see once the refactor is ready for release. :-) - cologne - 01-04-2009 joevenzon Wrote:The discrete integrator used for physics in the refactor is better suited to high spring force situations like the F1-02 than the old code, so hopefully it will react better.Tried again with my new actual iMac (2GHz versus 2x 2.8GHz) the problem appears but is much better controlable. The high Downforce stabilizes the car beginning end of third gear. |
