Compiling 2005-10-02 - joevenzon - 10-19-2005 Okay, we'll improve the axis detection for the next release. If the axis assignment isn't correct, you can always do the following:press J when driving to display the joystick info screen, find out which axes are correct for your wheel, quit VDrift, and manually edit your ~/.vdrift/controls file. Compiling 2005-10-02 - thelusiv - 10-19-2005 what he said Compiling 2005-10-02 - LedStyle - 10-20-2005 Success!!!Ive installed the tool "joystick" in my Ubuntu Linux via Synaptic. With the "jscal" i have calibrated them and now its working fine! Thanks! To calibrate:jscal -c /dev/js0 Compiling 2005-10-02 - thelusiv - 10-20-2005 Glad it worked for you. I've used jscal myself and it helps. We've tried to move the calibration into VDrift itself though so that this won't be necessary. I guess we're still missing something...perhaps VDrift needs to have a sense of where the center of the axis is instead of just its bounds? |
